Hey guys im back =)
The title pretty much says it all. Ive got an 07 GS500F and ive ripped All the fairings off. What I want to do is to turn it into a street fighter but i am unsure of what i will need to do so.
People in these threads show pictures of the process but im after a list of what items that i will need in order to go from this:
(not my bike but close enough)

To this: (psyber_0ptix's Bike)

Anyone with experience in this area, please feel free to share your wisdom :)
Thanks all.

Put the fork brackets on FROM THE TOP!! Don't listen to anyone who tells you to take the front wheel off and all that crap. More work than is necessary.
Also, Third Eye bar-end mirrors are MUCH better than the price tag will make you think. Sturdy and clear even at 80 mph.
Thanks Murf, cant find a price on those Third Eye bar-end mirrors but ill keep looking into it.

there are two different looks. i like the F headlight on a nekkid bike myself. :)

That's the person I bought mine from. Used BIN, nabbed two of 'em for $19.28 + $4.50 shipping...got 'em in about 3 days.
that's a good deal. I think mine were $30 shipped.
That would be nice, but he won't ship worldwide so im buggered. Might just take a trip down to the local bike shop and see how much they ask for it.
Thanks anyway murf.
be sure to sand and paint your exhaust with high temp silicone paint. i just finished this up recently as it was way too cold (when those pictures were taken)
my thread had a little synopsis of steps but i could only take so many photos.
If i were there' i'd help you with the wiring. It's not daunting, just the most time consuming (and rather simple in execution)
Im going to re-paint my exhaust when its all done.... Only problem is trying to find an exhaust that will fit my bike. Im thinking of doing this to my bike because i reckon it would look insane. Not sure if it would work. Can EVERYONE please click the link and tell me what you think! PLEASE!!!
Would it be loud, will it work?

CLICK IT!!!!! >:( >:(
give me all your fairings for free. i'll make it worth your while
Sure, take my fairings that will make resale value of my bike go down the drain. :icon_razz:

'resale' is for harleys. this is a suzuki, a gs at that. it's for riding, not fairings or resale ;)
Regardless of what bike it is, the fairings stay =P
Now back to that link!!!!

Tell me if its possible
that look will work. I think that is a guys bike from ft lauderdale. it's a GS so it's been done before obviously. the issue would be finding the right jetting for it.
Finally someone can be bothered to reply. So it will work just the matter of the jets... Would the local suzuki bike shop be able to do my jets for me if i also get a K&N filter?
No idea on where to start....
You might want to try to contact Cafeboy on this site. He has made some homemade exhausts and knows much more than I do. You might also try Buddha. They might be able to give you a jumping off point, but I bet you will have to get it correct through a lot of trial and error.
I can tell you one thing though, you'd be better off convincing Cafeboy to sell you one of his exhausts than try to do something like in the pic. At least he has the jetting down and his exhaust looks only slightly different.
edit: I thought it was cafeboy, but it's actually quiktaco. here's a pic of his bike. it's awesome...

My only addition would be to consider a Buell headlight and flyscreen mod. Many SV650 guys have done it and it looks great:

yeah, juan is right about the headlights and flyscreen. there is another write-up from someone that used hella dual angel eyes for headlights and they look badass.

Yea, i was going to get those hella angel lights for it. As for the exhaust might go down to the local exhaust shop and see if they can help me think of something.
Sorry, been a bit slow here....
Just bought carbon fibre foot pegs off ebay for $38 (shipping aswell). I think its pretty cheap.
Anyway will be buying Demon Fairing Headlight from ebay tomorrow for a total of $140 which includes mounting bracket and shipping for both.
Next to buy is the Vapor speedo. Might buy that next week then start mounting things. Have pics up then. :thumb:

Hey your the guy with the 'Gina headlight! lol. I've got the same bike sitting in my garage, but not wrecked once. Can't decide what to do yet. Think Imma put an R1 tail on it.
Haha yeah. Oh the R1 tail, very nice indeed. I was going to go for something like that but just didnt have the time to do it.
