Title: Is this cylinder head too bad?
Post by: boxin on March 31, 2009, 12:17:21 PM
Hi!
First of all, sorry for my English! (Im from Argentina).
Here I leave them a few photos of the cylinder head.
The camshaft journal oil clearance was measured with Plastigage and is 0.075 mm - 0.080 mm (Service limit = 0.15 mm).
But the camshaft journal holder is very damaged, it seems to me. What do you think?  Apparently the engine did not have good oiling. I should repair the Cylinder Head? Or I can continue using it?

+1 with the Buddha.......
Throw it away and find a better one. It will take the camshaft journals out, drop the oil pressure and cause damage elsewhere.
