I will be mounting my Vortex clip-ons Under the top Triple. I have a faired GS and they will be mounted as low as they can go with out touching the fairings. I did a test fit and damn they are low I love it. I will explain how I did it after I get done.
So I guess no one cares unless I have pics so this is what I got so far

Nothing hits or rubs the fairing my fingers touch slightly when using the clutch but not enough to bother me.
Prince of darkness ???
Cool.
Buddha.
My wife got our camera stolen at sea world last week so I had to use my camcorder and the light in my garage sucks. I will add better tomarow after I get the special part made for me.
nice job. I have the 89s and have been toying with true clipons under the triples. Keep us posted on how you like them.
I put mine on top, so let me know how you like them on them bottom as I might try to do this myself....
I was gonna mount mine under but I didnt think everything would fit without rubbing. Guess I was wrong. lol
no your correct things will rub just putting them under a little work and a custom spacer is needed to raise the top triple about 3/4 higher and a longer bolt is also needed. this is not a simple job but it is easy if you have access to a 3/4 piece of round aluminum and a 3/4 and 1 inch drill bit.

Im not sure what I will do with the guages yet but if they are fork mounted the top plate will under the black tree. or I will mount them in the dash.
i plan on putting my woodcrafts under the triple.....i just have to figure out a way around the headlight bracket........
when my GS was naked i did that but I had to use aftermarket headlight brackets to gain some more room the stock ones wont work.
So I finally got everything back together and I rides great. I love how it feels. no riding issue sonce I got the brake lever where I wanted it. Ill post pics of the riding position today. :thumb: So yes it can be done but you need to move the top triple up about 1 inch and get a longer bolt.

so how is your arms and wrists?
You need to rotate the levers more, you should be able to draw a hypothetical straight line down your forearm, across the back of your palm to straight extended fingers, then the lever should be just under said fingers if correct. Your wrist does not belong at a 45° angle, that will fatigue you faster than anything.
That all depend on his Actual riding position. But you do have a point. Its more ergonomical for your levers to be more in line. tilt them down some 5-10 degress and you may like it more....that is if it doesnt rub your fairing by doing so?
I Don't cover the levers when riding so my wrists are usually straight. The levers are as low as they go that is your compromise for doing this mod. But the angle does not bother. If you cover the lever 247 than I'm sure you will get tired. All in all I love it you have the riding position of a sport bike.

So you have to let go of the grip then rotate your wrist up 45° to grab the levers?
EDIT: It's not that I'm trying to piss in your Cherrios, you know better than anybody what works for you, if your comfortable with it than ride on
No I'm not getting mad, I have no problem answering questions regarding this mod. I don't do long rides so and discomfort doesn't apply to me. and my wrist don't move my finger reach as is when braking and using the clutch I guess I have flexable fingers. but most of the time my posture is bad and it is as shown.
