Sure, you can make anything work if you are willing to put in the time and effort.  You may need an adapter to match the diameters of the pipes, you will need to make custom brackets for mounting, and you will have to rejet your carbs.  Other than these things I see no problems.  If you are serious about installing that exhaust I would love to see pics and hear a sound clip.

As for "hello officer" ?  I run duel Jaradine cans with full headers on my bike, it sounds like a Harley on steroids.  The popo has never bothered me at all, ever....

Po-po never bothered me for racing pipes on a Jap bike, either.  I have witnessed them going after Harleys with straight pipes, however.  I have witnessed them running red lights to get to the Buzz-n-Bee for coffee and danishes as well.

The mod looks very doable to me.

Hmm, might consider it for my bike in the future.  Cost too much for me right now though.

it would look really cool, especially if you cleaned up all the stuff underneath the tail like on charlie's bike.

I really don't think there will be enough room under the frame for a can that size.  Center stand would definetly have to be removed (mine already is).  I think it would hang to low.

Find something that has a flater/oval can.

I am pretty sure his exhaust is a just a pipe with baffle (if I am thinking of the right bike).

Edit:  Here is his bike.  Notice the can is much smaller in height.  Or at least it looks that way to me.

Yeah all that driveway is missing is a greek marble nude statue and fountain.

That's a sweet GS... I love the 3rd generation R6 tail on it.

I would like to see that bike with a round headlight.   that headlight just sticks forward a little too much for my taste.   otherwise that bike is perfect!
