Title: FS: JOE ROCKET Phoenix 4.0 Jacket *PICS*
Post by: Streebek on April 06, 2009, 01:45:03 PM
I bought two jackets to compare the fit.

I am selling a   B L A C K    M E N S    S M A L L   Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0    jacket.  The jacket is used but in excellent shape!  No rash what-so-ever and the replaceable armor (elbows/forearms, shoulders, and back) are all there, original, and in great condition!

Here are some details about the jacket.  =)

One of the reviews mentions a "liner" but neither of the jackets came with one.  Although, it does have the zippers for it.

Wonder how it compares to the tourmaster Jackets. I have a GxAir that I paid retail and a Jett that I got on here for $25 shipped. Both are a medium and since December have gotten way to big esp in the arms! How do they fit big or small?

And what kinda price we looking at approximate? Like I said I got the TourMaster Jett here for $25 in awesome shape LOL! Gave it to my best friend what better gift to give to a fellow motorcyclist who only owned a 3/4 helmet.

Well...I'm 5'8" 160lbs.  And it fits pretty snug in the arms with the tightest snap and it pretty short (i think my belly button would be close to being exposed if i wore it shirtless lol).  I opted to keep the medium just incase i wanted to wear something underneath it.  lol.

I paid about $55 after shipping for it.

I gotta make sure I can work with my shoulder like it is or I would! LOL. BTW does it have a lot shoulder armour in it? I'm really paranoid about that now  :icon_sad: !

mary

If I was working was thinking maybe $35 I dunno. I hate trying to deal. I don't like to cheat people or the other way around. That and I'm poor!

Streebek:

I might be interested in this if Mary passes.  I'm 5'10'' and 145 lbs, so I wonder how this would fit my frame?  You say it was short on you and your only 5'8''?  Maybe a little to small for me?  How would this do in Phoenix, AZ weather?  I'm looking for a deal because I'm unemployed at the moment but I would rather be protected even if I'm not working.  Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Nick

Ok,

let's see.  I'm 5'6", 125 to 130 lbs, wear boys 18's or 20's.  Do you think it will fit?  These are always hard for me because every sales person thinks a mens small will fit or wants it to fit.

not to hijack but where did you buy it for 50$? I went down with this exact jacket in 06 and came out scratchless at 40mph. Unfortunately the guy that bought my bike back then wanted the jacket and I gave it to him for some reason and now I want another one for summer time but I need a medium maybe a large.

I found it on eBay not too long ago.   But I turned around and bought a medium shortly after because I really wasn't sure if i was happy with the size of the small.

I just want to chime in regarding the fit.  I have this exact Jacket and I'm 5'8 155 lbs. with an athletic build.  Without the removable rain/wind liner attached (doesn't look like it's included) it fits my frame but the bottom portion does feel a bit short but it stays around my waistline.  I don't exactly have cannons for arms but the armor stays in place with the adjustable straps, which are nice btw.

With the liner attached, the elbow armor is a nice snug fit on the tightest strap setting and the jacket overall feels like a good fit; although, it still feels short towards the bottom area the padded back portion of the jacket (where it says Rocket Phoenix 4.0) would still protect my tail bone in the event of a crash.  If they added about an inch or two to the bottom of the Jacket it would be perfect for me.

Without the liner it is a very cool summer jacket due to the great airflow.

For reference, I got mine at newenough.com for $99.99 shipped.
