ok i know my way around them pretty well rejeted my self no problems i have had a clogged jet on one side when i got it so i know what that feels like when one side floods so bad it stalls.
hes the deal
some times with no ryme or reason it will act fuel starved changing the pet chicken doesn't change a thing. but it will run great at full throttle all the way to 11k.
the stumble happens usaly between 4-5k just at the throttle pos to switch to main jets.
jets are clean. tho
it seems totaly random i ran it for 3 hours no problems then just decided to be a Buddha Loves You and act up.
fuel floats was high on the right carb but i brought that down to pretty freeking close. left side is a tiny bit high. but i used to run JUST fine till it sat over winter.
new gas also
anybady got an idea?
one easy thing to try is to rig up a new fuel line with a cutoff and bypass the frame mounted petcock. It is known to be a troublesome little devil. Other than that it sounds like you have a clogged jet or hole in a diaphragm or sticky carb slides maybe.

ya intersting idea might try bypassing it. i just figured trying it all all the setting with no change i kinda rulled it out but maybe i shouldn't
what do you mean carb slides? you talking about the thing that goes down the center of the carb? (sorry i know all the parts just not 100% on all the tech names)
