hey all, so im nearing 1100 miles on my 2008 GS500F. last oil change was at 500 miles. besides going over all the bolts and screws and making sure everything is secure, what else to i have to do post break-in? i hear about people turning up their idle, re-jetting, etc.

Check tire pressure chain tension too. Keeping it slightly on the loose side will extend chain life.

Just do the scheduled maintenance and you'll be fine. Keep an eye out on your tire pressure and chain tension. Also check your brakes from time to time. It is good to look the bike over on a regular basis to look for anything out of place. I inspect my bike as I walk up every day and I check the lights once a week or so. Check your oil on a regular basis and keep an eye out for puddles forming under the bike from oil leaks. The sooner you catch problems, the easier it will be to deal with them. Also, if you catch something like a leak before it gets bad, you can keep riding the bike for the few days it takes you to get parts in.
what is the tire pressure suppose to be at? as for the brakes, i notice that it has developed a very light squeek. its very mild and you can barley hear it, is it something i should be worried about, or is that just the brakes setteling?
the GS is known for the rear brake squeek. nothing to worry about
Yeah, GS brakes squeak. There is stuff you can put on the back of the pads that will help for a while, but they'll eventually go back to squeaking. As for pedal pressure, when you've got air in the lines, you'll know it. The brakes will get all mushy and feel totally different.
