Title: GSXR shock fitment caution.
Post by: The Buddha on April 14, 2009, 09:12:06 AM
Make sure you grind the linkage to the point it does not contact the clevise at all ... in should fold like a book, hit the shock spring or body before hitting the clevise.
Then check and shave the swingarm hole that it does not hit that.

Failure to do these 2 can kill the shock in a hurry. Shock is made to compress. Straight up and down. Its not supposed to bend.
Cool.

GSXR shocks I used to stay away from ... but there are some very vocal GSTwinners who had to have them.
Anyway, I am out a few linkages. Lost 1, 2 more due to come back ... and I am getting away from the GSXR crap.
Cool.
