Post by: TheGoodGuy on September 27, 2003, 11:17:19 PM
I was directed to Mad Maps for biking / tourning maps..

I think they are California only though. We bought it, its actually cool.. Its a lot better than the usual foldable maps..

They're pretty good, I have a couple.  The ride descriptions aren't very useful (interesting but bumpy single lane roads, and fast, beautiful smooth sweeper roads are listed just the same), but they highlight some good routes and fold into the tankbag easily (mine is an odd size).  Pashnit has better ride information but if you don't mind the price the mad maps are the best I've seen for a quick glance down at the tankbag.

I think I've seen those at some of the shops around here but haven't bought one yet.  I also like Pashnit a lot because they do have thorough ride reviews of the roads with pics.  They don't have every road thats cool but they have many.

yeah pashnit doesnt have some roads..

Like HWY 49 (off the 80 in Auburn) wasnt on it.. I read it off the latest friction zone...

man there are some fast sweepers in there.. did it on friday upto forest hill (town / city / village). I was doing 70+ in a 55, if i had a faster bike (or jetted right) i would have gone faster.
