there is a big cruise in the weekend of may 9th at this dealership as well. it's a big deal around here. alot of awesome cars come out every year.
i'm with you... love me some vettes. Mind you i don't think I could afford even a mid 90's crapper... but I still do love them.
The booty on those things makes my pants a little tight, if you know what i mean.
dude, the dealership in that link, runs killer deals on mid 90's vettes when they've got em. there was a peach of a 98 model they had recently. went for right under 20k. i wish i would have had the money, seriously. i didn't get to the dealership in time to see it but they recently had a new zr1. a local guy bought it. (20 mins from me actually.) i'm hoping the weather is smoking nice the weekend of the cruise in and he brings it out. :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:
i think you should grab a lawnchair and some brew and plant yourself across the street from the dealership and watch the parade. I'd do it with you if I was anywhere close by ;)
man, the best part of this cruise in??? OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!! and doesn't cost me a dime to wander around and stare at the cars and take pics if i choose. now, should i crave me a grilled hot dog/burger/coke, they got a grill fired up and it aint' free but hell, the dealership is spittin distance from a couple burger joints.
I grew up with corvettes. From when little until I was 16 or 17 my dad had 4 different corvettes. '60 Roman Red Convertible, '67 Goodwood Green Convertible, '84 coupe, and '91 ZR-1. We ended up at a lot of car show and I went to the Bloomington corvette show a couple times. One year we went to Bowling Green to see the corvette production plant and museum. I like a lot of different cars, but corvettes are just special
if the guy with the new vette i wanna see doesnt show, i'm gonna contact the national museum and see if they've got one.
The new ZR1 is one BA car, I'd like to see one too
i will most certainly get pics. once again, the date is may 9th. 10am-4pm. go to the website i posted in my first post if intrested and you'll get better directions than i can give you from whereever you are. :thumb:
I think I remember going to Bud's when my dad was shopping for a ZR-1 (This was probably 12 years ago). We made the trip from Milwaukee and looked at a black, Canadian ZR-1. I remember it was canadian because it had some amber lenses in the center two tailights. I don't know why he didn't buy that one, but I remember the trip.
