Title: fuel hose routing, where are they SUPPOSE to go?
Post by: tmc008 on September 28, 2003, 01:03:34 AM
hello all!

ok, here's the situation. bought this 97 gs500e from a friend. this friend picked it up froim the police impound a few months back. turns out some jesse james  wannabe  :x  thought he could do all these CRAZY modifications. i would go into it but i've got a real issue for now.

THE QUESTION: where does the overflow line connect to the carb?
the setup when i took it off was that it was connected to the right carb vacuum. then this other line, from the top center of the carb junction went up to the fuel tank (not the petcock, but the thing next to it).  that just doesn't seem right to me.

thanks in advance for all your help

no beef with men, just wanted to see how quick i'd get a response to that remark. quite quickly, obviously. but yes, i am proud to have figured it out myself. now i just have to figure out what type of pilot jets to order on bikebandit and i'll be set. thanks for the response!

I have no scanner.  It's in the suzuki service manual though.  Don't you just hate it when you have nuts and bolts left over, and hoses with no places to go after you finish a good days wrenching?  hehe
