Title: New bike
Post by: Woz on September 28, 2003, 05:49:13 AM
Brand new GS500 ordered. I take delivery a week on Wednesday. Can't wait (it will be nice to ride something with a little more grunt than my little Virago).

Any suggestions for immediate alterations (I hear the suspension isn't perfect)?

Progressive springs for the front.  Katana 600 rear shock.  Homemade ignition advancer from Bob Broussard.  15 Tooth front sprocket.  and for God's sakes, chop off that huge rear fender. :thumb:

Had to be the first, eh? :nana:

But agreed.  It's such an injustice.

No, I ordered a 2003 model.  Call me old fashioned but I don't like plastics.

Most intelligent move, in my opinion.  Good luck and have fun!

Oh, yeah, a pair of real tires.  Bridgestone BT-45's in stock sizes work very well and are not too expensive.
