Pretty sweet bike. I'm still a huge fan of the R 1200 GS Adventure myself. I love the idea of a bike that can go anywhere.

That is the GS'es true step up bike. There is one in my office off and on. Gorgeous and belt drive to boot.
Cool.

the front fork is strange... yet oddly sexy.

I know these posts are about 'dream bikes', but for my next bike I pretty much want a naked 1200cc Bandit.  I can't honestly see myself ever selling my GS because it's such a great commuter bike and so tough and easy to work on.  Although I'm very attached to my GS, to be honest, I also look at the GS as a bike to learn the art of basic bike mechanics to enable me to work on and maintain a Bandit (or whatever bike I end up getting).  The type of bike I can have is also pretty much limited to what I can get through my sidegate and 'round to the back of my house!  I'd never park it on the street because some bastard would either vandalise or nick it!!

BTW, there's a BMW F800s, a Suzuki Bandit 1250 and a Ducati style Sportsbike regularly parked at my work.  I'm often late to my desk because I've stood in the parking lot starring at these beauties (there was also a dirty great Triumph rto die for today as well).

bassman...Sigh... :)

It's the curves.  We are naturally attracted to curves.

Yeah, I thought the curves looked a little like a nice set of legs.    :embarrassed:

Next year I may well have one. thats about in my new purchase cycle. It'd be nice if they get it out before the physical year end then I can write off the sales and excise tax on it for taxes...

M'boy wants an F800GS.  Since we can't have the same bike, I'll get an F650GS Dakar for dualsporting.

yes, go adventuring on that pile. because you KNOW you'll be able to find parts for it when you smack a boulder with the front rotor.
