Post by: Toogoofy317 on April 21, 2009, 11:34:47 PM
Thought this was amusing. Kinda long and some has nothing to do with squidliness. I got a 73 and said I was way to narscissitic!

Your score indicates that you are a fairly responsible motorcyclist but a bit of a wise-ass. 81

<Opens coffin lid, smears on SPF 50, clambers out of coffin>

To fully appreciate the test, you have to grasp that it came out of the Usenet newsgroup rec.motorcycles, and reflects a certain number of inside jokes and recurrent themes there, from the early 1990's. Imagine, if you will, that someone cooked up a customized version for this bulletin board, at this time, and folks (nearly all of whom had no context) were puzzling over the thing almost 20 years later. That's where you're at.

My idiotic handle comes from hanging out there; however, it was always a low s/n newsgroup, has gotten worse with the advent of spam (it always had flames - ie, stuff that would be in the tard farm here), and few if any of the folks I knew then are there now, so I'm not either. But I get a hearty chuckle from the squid test still making it's way around - it's sort of a sibling to the "Purity test" that was popular in colleges at the same era. And I do have a few actual Denizens of Doom M.C. embroidered patches (from he second run, IIRC), which may one day cause someone else to chortle and meet in person, a few decades after meeting in the aether.
