Fill your boots?....Its a phrase, it means somthing along the lines of...Be my guest or help yourself, or it can be used as an invite or instruction to use a situation to your advantage. Or its another way of saying take what you can while you can.......its in no way derogatory or insulting.

Hate to thread jack, but on the same lines of phrases we are unfamiliar with....I was watching overhaulin' today and there was either a british or austrailian chick on there and she called her husband a "GIT"?  WTF does that mean? lol

Git? ......well its hard to place it and depends on the situation its being used in. Its a mild insult but at the same time its a harmless, cheeky tongue-in- cheek one. If you know the person concerned it can even be taken as a compliment or term of affection or endearment. Its usualy used with an adjective such as lazy, old, daft, fat, dozy, clever, loud mouthed, smart arsed etc........ If someone I know or am close too called me a Git  I wouldnt really take offence, I would be paying more attention to the adjective if there was one.

This is a good example

Its harmless really

anymore terms for translation???  :D

well just a little update on my day.  I got to were the bikes were and it was rough.  How rough you ask.  well he brought it outta the woods a few days ago on the back of his tractor with a hoist...lol...it does have a title and motor turns over so i stand there for a bit.  I said to the guy I seen a bike sitting back in the woods when i was pulling in whats up with that one.  he said lets go take a look at it.  now i am looks at what he thought was a cb350 no carbs no exhaust flat tires you know the run down.  so we bsed for a bit and then went back up to the 750.  after about 15 mins i said its alot rougher then i thought and asked what he would take for it.  he tells me to make him an offer.  When we emailed back and forth a few times he said he thought it was worth 125 with the title.  So i said will you take 50 bucks for it.  He said that sounded great to him.  so we loaded it up.  once it was on the trailor he says so do you want that other bike too.  I again said what do you want for it.  His answer was 10 bucks.  I said lets load it up while im here.  He didnt have a titile for that bike but he did write me a bill of sale for it so monday ill go see about getting it titled.

Seized up ......Iam not surprised to hear it.....its been sat in a field for years with no carbs and pipes. Dont think I am detracting but do you realise what you can expect to find when you start pulling it apart and what its going to cost in time, effort and money just to get it ticking over again........let alone roadworthy?
