Title: *** Figured it Out *** strange clutch and throttle cable problem
Post by: Kepner on April 26, 2009, 12:26:46 PM
I went and repainted my bike. After I got it all back together and started it I noticed that it started without me haveing to hold the clutch in. And I can put it in gear without the clutch. It won't even try to start when the clutch is engaged. I can't wrap my head around it.  The only thing I can think of is when I tried to take off the cable I heard a "click" which I assumed was a spring or something. I ended up not even taking the cable off. Any Ideas?  :dunno_black:

My next issue is the throttle cable. I have it routed though the bike so it is very loose and yet when I turn the bars the rpm's go up. I adjusted the cable to be just a hair loose before I turn the throttle. (just a little play) Then after it was warmed up it started to rev up uncontrolably  I need some info here. What am I missing?

Nevermind I figured it out. I actually had a wire crossed.
