Title: bog down...
Post by: LOUiE on April 26, 2009, 06:04:18 PM
got my bike outta the garage and cleaned her up for spring... then it started snowing

anyways, bike bogs down (and almost dies) when giving the throttle a little twist.  I just have the bike on the center stand in neutral.  I let it idle for 4-5 mins to warm up with no choke and its the same.  Also the same no matter petcock setting (on or PRI)

I just recently adjusted the float heights so I wouldn't expect that to be it.

Any ideas?  is it the classic 'petcock a piece of shaZam!' business?

just fired her up again on PRI today.

After flirting with her for a bit, it seems she only runs on PRI.

I've checked all hoses for blockages when I tore the carbs off the other day.

And as another symptom she dripping out of the right bowl.
