Does any one have any advice on how to wheelie a gs500?

never done it myself (no seriously) but I've been told you go about 10mph pull the clutch in, rev it to 6k, then drop the clutch and the front end pops right up.

haven't gotten up the courage(stupidity, considering I don't own the bike) to try it yet.(most likely never)

do you have a 15 tooth front sprocket yes or no

YES---------- bounce 1st hard to do but can be done

no----------- in 1st gear take it to about 5k pull clutch rev to about 10k drop it and there ya go It will come up FAST

oohhhhh yeah sit back on the seat or it wont

and yes 12 oclock wheelies are a blast just dont touch the tail to the ground

try to slip the clutch then release, if the driveline is loaded even alittle bit before dumping clutch its not as back as clutch all the way in then duping.

i have wheelied useing both 15 and 16 tooth, 15 tooth i find runs out of RPM's too fast but will get it up easyer. KEEP YOUR FOOT OVER REAR BRAKE, if it starts to go over you only have to hit it. i have seen guys over rotate on a wheelie and bring it back again with rear brake. wheelies Hurt forks, steering bearings, and seals. once your comfortable, try standing on rear pegs.  nothing neater then doing standups on the GS.

i pulled a standup wheelie on saturday. fun but i only did it once and not for very long. maybe 20 to 30 feet. scared me a little (first standup). it was in first i was going maybe 15mph. just compressed the suspension and hit the gas as the forks extended

Hmm, GS on one wheel.  What a cool thought, maybe thats what those long fenders are good for. Keeping you from going to far.

I've done it.  It takes a little practice and really isn't all that good for the bike, but it can be fun from time to time.  The last time I did one, I was riding down the street to my house and a little kid on a bmx bike did one as I was riding by.  I did a u-turn and wheelied past him.  I think it made both our days.
