This winter I tore down my bike to the frame and engine to repaint it. I figured I would share it with you guys and see what you think.

The black is a semi gloss and the Grey is from my work it has a metal flake in it. I painted the engine a with a high temp flat. I do have a question for everyone. What is your opinion on the wind screen. I made it myself, I put it on because the housing for the gauges was busted up and I repaired it. I'm still torn on whether I should put it back on. I also have plans for making a fairing for the bottom. All in all I'm pretty happy with the end result. I completely underestimated the amount of work that it took. Please tell me what you think.
I really like the fram grey! Work looks excellent man! Congrats!
I'm not too big on the windscreen myself. I think it looks a lot like the buell blast screen, but it's different somehow and I can't tell how. I don't think you need at now, especially since you have the cool black headlight casing.
Those are the side covers you sold me. Better fit than my old ones.
Very nice work
Looks terrific, but I would be way to lazy to ever start a project like that------I get nightmares just looking at that work table covered with parts.
They used to say that air cooled engines painted flat black run cooler------don't know if that true or not but it sure looks COOL.
DeadHead engine emblem?...NICE!
Nice! I'm painting mine flat black too. All I have left is the tank, which I'm being lazy about. I made my own belly pan out of busted front fairings, using all of the stock bolts, etc. I really like it considering it was free, and did it all this last Sunday. I'd upload a picture, but am using my iphone, and don't know how...
eh the painted exhaust can looks like ishh bigg ishh ploish it and it will look geat you need some contrast. and to the person making a belly pan out of the stock fairing remove the mounting bracket that holds the oil cooler on each side of the frame and screw your pand directly to the frame and your pan will look 100% better iyt wont stick out an inch or so. if you dont beleave me try both ways I DId and without the bracket looked way better. i have to pee
