My joints are getting creaky...needed something a little more comfortable.

Ah, and FJR! A friend of mine is on his second one. 45,000 miles or so on the first...he would have kept it longer, but he got a deal on a lightly used '07, so he took it. You'll be a happy guy on long trips!
man, that's a really nice machine. saw one in tampa. sounds awesome. enjoy that ride gearman !
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous :icon_mrgreen:
The FJR is a sweet lookin' machine. happy riding
Thanks for the heads up, folks. I was about to ask how much in mods it cost to make a GS500 look like that:P
Thanks. It's real comfy and has way more hp than I'll ever need, but boy is it heavy. It makes the GS and the SV feel like dirt bikes!

truth !
Oooooh, what a nice bike! I've liked them ever since the FJ 1100 and SX 1100 before that. How did the motorcycle writer put it? Oh, yeah.. "... big dollops of smooth, creamy horsepower." There is something about Yamahas I've always loved, refinement.
The comfy couch of bikes. You're ready for Ironbutt!
I like it.
How much? If I may ask.

$7800/< 5900 miles. The downside...it's time for tires. :icon_eek:
Just finished installing a Ram Aquabox for my cheapy GPS.

Looks good!
nice looking bike. it doesn't look very big/heavy in the pic, but i've seen a few in the local dealerships and they look kinda awkward to me. but i'm a smaller statured person. congrats though, hope you enjoy it. :thumb:

Thanks. I'm 5' 6" and 160# with gear. Believe me, I was a more than a little apprehensive at first. Now that I've put a few miles in, it's not that intimidating. At low speeds, the maneuvering is actually as good or better than the GS. Another surprise was the relative ease getting it onto the centerstand.
