Hi all, i've a couple of quick questions or maybe three depending how long my connection stays-

I cleaned the chain up and found the front sprocket to have some movement/freeplay, can anyone say if this is normal? It's a 99 year GS.
I want to remove the exhaust and respray it :laugh: I'm having difficulty finding a good combination of socket/wrench for the allen nut on the left header (when looking at the bike from the front) - the left nut. The engine frame is in the way and also the header slightly. A normal allen key won't do the job as tried this. What do you guys use for this? 
According to my V5, my bike was registered in 1999 and is a black colour. But according to the Haynes manual, the black paint colour came out in 2000. I find this strange :icon_question:
I've time for one more query! If i attempt to remove the swingarm to grease and clean up, will i be looking at flying spanner syndrome and remedial work to repair nuts and bolts i've bust?

I know there'sa few queries here, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I've just started to go through the bike after recently buying it.

We use allen 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch ratchet with extension bar. Ball tip preferable with a wobble to get at those. It should be long enough to clear the header but shot enough to stop before the fender. Its out there you buy it and use it.
Chain is set up to have ~1-1.5 inches play.
GS body swap is easy. 10 mins, so maybe the bike had a body swap with an 00.

Thanks for that prompt reply, regarding sprocket freeplay i mean the actual front sprocket has some horizontal movement when on the crankshaft.
