Title: problem with carbs
Post by: manoj on May 06, 2009, 06:17:46 PM
Hi guys need expertise
the carb used to puke gas,so i dissembled and cleaned float, slides twice but didn't remove  the jets.after that acceleration became very sluggish and poor but if i give full throttle in high gear it gets better, after 2 weeks it has started to puke gas again from the float overflow. What is wrong with the carb .Is there anyone who rebuilds or rejets carb.If so can i put the rebuild carb directly onto my motorcycle or would any adjustment be needed.

Yes, his name is Buddha and he'll fix you up no problem. Sounds like your float heights are off to me... You might want to do a quick search on checking and adjusting them to get yourself up and running again. You could also just give Buddha $50 and be done with it...

Yes thanks for the recomendation fred.
Rebuilding is a high sounding word for replacing 4 O rings and a float bowl gasket. Personally I wont call anythign rebuild unless I am putting new metal ... like rebuilding an engine ... fine we put in new pistons, valves, seats, guides etc etc etc ... OK fine rebuilt.
Yea you need a rejet and a re O ring ... or whatever else, I'll do it.
Send it over ... and its 45 and return shipping. So ~55 shipped in the US.
Cool.
Buddha.
