Hi guys, new to the boards and new to the 04 GS500 I just bought... I need to replace the speedometer cable and I'm just wondering which years will work for the 04 GS500 that I have, is it a standard cable for all the GS' cycles or has the cable changed over the years?

You can look it up on bikebandit, but I'm pretty sure you'll find that the cable is the same for all years. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure the Katana uses the same speedo drive as well, so it also probably uses the same cable, or one very similar. I have the feeling that Suzuki used exact same mechanism on as many bikes as possible.
