So i picked up a pipe for my bike and I'm going to need to rejet I'm not 100% sure what I need or where I can get them so any help a link or anything would be great. Buddah doesn't have the ones I need so :dunno_white:
here is a link to a chart with different pipe, air filters, and the jets people used to get it to run right

What year bike? DId you check the WIKI for your setup? If you are after the standard K&N setup of #40s & #127.5s with 2 washers, I bought them new recently, but my bike was already jetted! I'll send them all to you for $15. That would be 2 mains, 2 pilots & 4 #4 washers. Uh, lower 48 only...
PM me if interested.
John.
mines a 2006 so I need mids mains and pilots i know the sizes I need I"m just not sure where I can get them from or what brand or anything like that wiki wasn't very specific for the 01+ bikes
When I rejetted my bike I used these guys.

Not sure what they're like to deal with online, since they are only 5 minutes out of my way going home from work. They were out of one of the jets I needed (don't remember which one), and said they would have it in in three days. They called me in two.
I thought if you just went to a new pipe you didn't need to rejet. you only need to rejet with a new filter.
I understood it to be a rejet was necessary any time you changed the air flow coming into the bike or coming out of the bike.
yes anytime air flow is changed a rejet is probably in order the gs500 needs a rejet from the factory but ya... I put my k&n in there and didn't reject but my bike runs really lean because of it.
The buddha sells jet kits!

buddha didnt have what he needed..... i got mine from the dealer they pulled out a big tray of jets i compared my pic printed off the wiki and walked out for $3 a piece
Doh. I didnt learn how to read.
You may want to look at bikebandit.com and sudco.com
motorcyclecarbs.com offers a large array of jets but gets some nasty reviews from time to time.
Yes I stock jets, but I only do for standard set up's on the GS and dont have em for anythign else. Much like anyone else, I also buy em from the dealers, but I have them trained to get me the right parts ... so none of that ... I got this thing and its got holes on the sides ... that crap.
If you got a good dealer, you can do just fine, just know what you want and buy it. Works well, and helps local ... as well as get you good face time with them in case you had to pick their brain later.
If your local dealer is an ass and cant be bothered to get off his butt and look up some stuff and order it for what I consider atleast 50% markup making atleast 5 bucks for less than 3 mins of looking and ordering ... I dont think you need to be supporting them, they are corrupt, or incompetent or lazy or all 3 ...
The info is public, as are pics and tutorials and wiki and ... list is endless, there even is part numbers somewhere ... so either or ...
Cool.
Buddha.
If you know a machinist in the family or wherever, they can drill out your jets with their very small drill bits and special high speed drill press, you can start way under and keep swapping them in till you have it perfect.
I'm running a #53 ( i think) drill bit, it is ( I think don't shoot me) something like .055 dia.,, but my bike is a '93 so it doesn't have mid mains.
what brand jets do I need and slotted or hex head?
are the mid mains the same kind of jet as the mains?
I think this is what I need for the mains can some one tell me if I'm right or wrong?

I searched the part numbers on wiki then found the jet size
