As if, it's not even october and the white stuff is coming down when I get up this morning. Can't I just have one more nice day to ride?
Ah well, know I can't wait to bust out the skis
later,
Where in Canada are you, eh? I'm in upstate NY in the Adirondacks, and going home last night, I swear some ice pellets hit my faceshield...arrrgh!!
Not good- NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!!
:x
:o
:(
What is this snow you speak of?
It snows here every 10 years or so, even then the ground is too warm for it to stick, it just instantly melts.
It's just getting into riding weather here. I can finally stand to go out on the bike during the middle of the day with full gear.
Just thought I'd gloat a little. :nana:
Its finally here - Riding in full gear weather...also called jetting weather...
Cool.

I bet the toxic smog that hangs over Houston eats the paint off your bike! Can't be good for the lungs either

...says the person from "Long Island, land of too many cars".
Yeah, traffic sucks and air quality is poor but it's not as bad as a lot of people think. I live a good hour to an hour and a half from the refineries that cause the pollution that gets us on the bad air lists. There is no topography (another problem), so we don't have the "bowl of smog" problem like L.A.
Ehh... there may be ozone alerts occasionally but smog here is never a problem. Although the air does look kinda brown in the NYC direction, all blue skies here! :)
Too many cars + too many stupid drivers in said cars = too dangerous to be comfortable riding :( Always looking for cars and not enough concentrating on the riding itself.
This is the first winter that I actually have mixed feelings about. I've been snowboarding for eight years and usually look forward to the winter. Since I got my GS this year I'm now starting to wonder how good winter will be without riding (i'm still going to ruff it a few days so I can get my riding fix). Oh well, snowboarding is still damn fun!! :thumb:
Hopefully one day I could live someplace where I can ride my bike to the mountain.
When I left work last night there was frost on my seat, she defenitly getting put away after this weekend.
I live in NW.Ontario
jessekb-
I hear you on that one! I like to snowboard but I love to ride!
37 degrees when I left this AM. It was freaking cold!
I gotta get me some winter gloves!
Are winter motorcycle gloves the same a skiing ones? Cause I have those! No point in spending $$ if I don't have to!
Snow - ugh! That's why I love being a resident of Cali! :nana:
To quote leno....Fall in the San Fernando Valley...It was a brisk 102 this morning... Believe me That sucks...
BTW so does this rain... we in NC have a 1884 rainfall record that is currently well within range for Charlotte in fact we are out pacing the record ...That sucks too....Oh yea...24 inches more rain than average for the year. Sucks to the other end of the scale. Like the cold...hate rain. Snow...that depends...like it in some cases, hate it in others.
Cool.
