i was checking it out on ebay but there was no pic and i was wondering if it turned out to be a steal at $75? just curious...
All caps stating "SOLD AS-IS...NO REFUNDS" generally means that it is trashed. Otherwise they would have told the bidders how nice it looked. At least that's the way it seems to me.
yeah, that's what i was thinking too. the guy could have gotten money out of me if he would have only posted some pics.
after about two hours of polishing it, it looks great! i have a pic if you'd like to see it, i just can't host it. i can e-mail it to whoever wants it.
Sounds like you got a great bargain. :thumb:
I wouldnt mind a copy of it.
What did you do to polish it?
I just bought one and it's been in a lowside. I don't expect to get all the scratches out but would like to give it the once-over. What should I do? Pkaaso suggested hitting it with progressively finer sandpaper then polish. Any ideas?
well luckily there was NO rash on the pipe. but there were tough water spots and stuff, i just used the dremel polishing tip (the one with the polish in it) and added more polish. don't go higher than 7 on the dremel. also, you will have to hand polish it afterwards to get the faint lines the dremel makes. as far as the rash goes, it's aluminum, don't they have a wheel for aluminum? you might try a search for 'repairing a polished aluminum finish' on yahoo. ???
