Post by: spc on May 19, 2009, 05:31:20 PM
This thing is great :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
I just got it back from having a starter put in (I knew about it when I bought it, got it for a deal and we push started the b!tch so I could drive it home)
This is a REAL truck

very cool SPC. My Dad had one of those when I was a little boy. His was a 50 something model. We lived in Central America at the time.

To the left of the plate in the back bumper is an opening with a funny looking cover or something. See if it has the optional PTO in there.  Some of the earlier ones had PTO's on them, I don't know if they still did that in the 80's.

If it is the PTO you can brush hog with it. lol :thumb:

No PTO and no crank start on this one :icon_sad: It's still a hoot though.

My mechanic said every customer he'd had since I dropped it off had gone over to take a look.  He had a Rolls, a Bentley, a Pantera and a Lotus in the shop :cookoo: :cookoo: along with the assortment of Jags.

I can't wait to get it out to the range, drop it in 4X4 and play in some mud puddles :icon_mrgreen:

Very nice!  I love old rovers.  I drive a Disco II, but would love to have a old series.

I almost got a pretty slick  '99 Range Rover over this, but the damn Series is just so much more loveable.

:cookoo: :cookoo: :cookoo:  A guy that lives just down the street knocked on my door to tell me he has a Series II :cookoo: :cookoo:  His is a little cleaner, but he paid WAY more.  It's pretty cool that there's not only another Series on the Island, but one in my Plantation.
