hey everybody, im just bought some avon roadriders.....about how much do shops charge to mount and balance them? Also i think im gonna pick up a 15T sprocket.....im going to use a 110 link chain....What does everybody recommend for a good quality but with a cheaper price?
Both my local shops have quoted me $40 to $50 EACH TIRE for mount and balance.
I've decided to learn to do this myself. (just picked up a pair of RoadRiders yesterday). I am going to use dynabeads for balancing.
I have a guy near me that will mount and balance the tires for $20 each if you bring him the wheel off the bike and then i have to get rid of the old tire.
yep same here in washington. i found a guy in one of the bike forums for this area that do the job for 40 bucks with guarantee. Great job too. The dealers were charging 50 bucks for each tire.. man that just irks me.. but whatever.. i hope you find one in your area. Those in the seattle or north side pm me and i will give you his name if you need your tire changed. Cause buying through the internet is the best deal you can get on tires. Dealers will screw you on this part.
whoa... you can pick up a pair of tire irons on ebay for under $20. the entire process is easier than you may think. ;)
but, i guess if you can't afford the time, then just send the wheels and tires to the shop. g'luck!
cheers,

I work at a Suzuki dealer and we charge about $70 for both if on the bike and about $30 off the bike.
Road Riders are GREAT tires 8)
welll i just called up a local kawasaki dealer and they will mount them for $25 a piece off the bike. Its not that tough to take the wheels off is it?
