Title: found! no longer need front wheel and gas tank THANKS
Post by: dafatrman on May 30, 2009, 04:30:51 PM
Hello everyone.  Earlier this year I was trying to get a tank for my 1990 GS500E and got a lot of good offers, but I had several tickets and was driving a 3/4 ton Chevrolet that got 15 miles to the gallon to work 30 miles away for minimum wage.  Now the tickets and surcharges are done, and I have a little money saved up and a little more coming each week.  I need a straight front wheel, any color, with good bearings and a good brake rotor already with it.  I also still need a gas tank any color with a cap/key and no dents bigger than a quarter.  Rust will be okay as long as it is minor and not deep into the metal.  Thank you all very much.

Hey, Psyber.  Thanks for the offer.  No wheel bearings?  If not oh well.  They aren't expensive.  How much is shipping to Texas zip code 75706, and how do you reccomend I pay?  I have a paypal account.

has wheel bearings; the ONLY thing you will need is the 5 bolts for the rotor.

do you already have the speedo drive and axle?

Yes, I do.  I have a front end that is drivable, but the rim holds air but has a big notch in it, and the rotor is loose on its rivets.  You can move the rotor about 2mm in any direction, and I used to beat the hell out of this little bike every day for about 7 months!  The things you do in desperation.  Anyway, I am moving to Florida as soon as this bike is done so please, let me know how to pay.  Thanks.

paypal is fine

i'll try to find a box that will fit, and get a quote on shipping. I'm guestimating 25-30 though because of weight with the tire.

but i'll try to get some other options down for you depending on time-frame

Thank you so very much.  And please, if you hear about a tank, will you hit me up?  I would certainly appreciate it.  Thank you.
