Title: 200/2001 petcock on 1998 GS

Is this possible at all to repalce the 1998 petcock (frame mounted one) with a 2000/2001 version? bike will only run on PRI at the moment, and got the chance of a fairly cheap 2000/2001 petcock as replacement.
