Supposedly, I have a textile "mesh" jacket, but the fibers are knitted tightly so it still
gets hot here in middle NC USA, even when I unzip the vents. Any recommend a fair-
priced (<$200) big-holed (I've seen them called this) mesh jacket that's very breathable,
that may also come in colors other than black? Thanks!
i've got an alpinestars exile in black/white...large for sale
take the inner liner out and it's fairly breathable... then again i'm in new england
Thanks, I'm looking for a new one.
Joe Rocket Phoenix 4 is what I wear on a regular basis and it is great. Still gets hot when you aren't moving but i am as cool as one can be when the summer temps hit 100 here in VA.
i know you are looking for a new one. BUT what size are you? ive got a jr jacket as well, when liner removed its QUITE breathable
I live in Fl and my Tour Master GxAir does a very good job here when it is hot enough to fry eggs on the side walk not to mention the humidity!

Only $26.00 on the Brit Ebay site. Plenty of airflow, don't know how well it would hold up in a crash.
:o
You should see the picture of the matching "shorts" that come with it. PLENTY of airflow...
thats quite allright....although the wife might like me in them.....(don't worry, i wouldn't dare post such pics of myself on here.) :icon_twisted:
Back on topic :cookoo:
I am in NC and I use a Joe Rocket aswell.
When the liner is out it works just fine.
I currently have a Tourmaster Pivot 2 mesh in large, and want something more breathable. I'll check out the TM GxAir mentioned here. To cafeboy, what model Joe Rocket do you wear?
take a look at this link, they tested 10 jackets, maybe you'll find one you like...

This is what I use when it gets unbearably hot here in hell I mean Fl! (http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr264/Toogoofy317/PROTACTOR.jpg)
I got it off ebay for about $65 but can get it at Nexo sports! I may look like a power ranger and it flattens that ta-tas a little bit but it keeps me cool!
Mary
The video shows the Alpinestars Exile, and the material style looks just like my TM Pivot 2.

Again, I'm looking for a jacket with a "BIG-HOLED" or "LOOSE-WEAVE" mesh. The weave pattern looks like the weave for that material to sand wall putty with.

This may look good on you (a woman) but may look odd on me (a guy). :) I guess if one wears a T-shirt underneath it'll be ok...

Thanks for the link. The FIELDSHEER MACH 1 JACKET may be what I'm looking for.
You boys can only dream what I wear under it! Nah, an under armor t-shirt is what I wear over it. It actually looks better in person! But, yeah I usually throw my Miami Hurricane's long sleeve Nike Tee over it and it hides under it pretty well. It has the best spine protection I have ever seen! I will try to get it from my friend's house and take actual pics for reference!

Zilla - I use an AXO jacket. If you look real close to the material you can see the inner liner.
Mary - I could have used what you wear during my Rolling Blunder fall on Memorial day. Any info on brand/model would be appreciated.
