Hello i'm new here.......i've been looking at a new 08 500f but
have been looking for a rear rack and all I can find is a small
aluminum rack @ twisted throttle.com. Anybody know of
a rack a bit bigger but doesn't look like #$%& ??

That's probably the SW-Motec rack you saw at Twisted Throttle which it's made to carry a hard case and is a nice one for that purpose but doesn't look like much alone as just a rack. There are others like that from Shad and Givi for hard cases.
There are Revs Performance racks for the GSs, they show a pic of the rack for 2000 and earlier models but no pic of their K models rack for 2001 and later models:

I bought a Suzuki factory rack for my 02 that fits 01 and later models but they dropped it from their option list. Maybe you can find one somewhere by searching, part number 99950-70267:
