Title: camshaft knock
Post by: Metty on June 06, 2009, 09:58:03 AM
ive read a few threads on the issue, and im wondering if this is what my bike is doing. at idle (1300 RPM), it makes a "knock knock knock" sound that honestly sounds like mild rod knock. as soon as it revs above 2500 RMP, the sound goes away completely. there is no metal in the oil and no other noise at crusing speed. any ideas?

Sounds like it. To me, nothing to worry about.
