Spent the day cleaning, detailing (yes, once every 2 years or so i wax it !) and maintaining the gs. Figured it was time to check float levels and sync the carbs too. Everything was tip-top shape, aired the tires, etc and went for a quick spin.
Two miles down the road, it sputtered.
Coughed.
FFFFFwapppp fwappp fwap. POP.
you know what that means. No fuel. I have upgraded my fuel lines so they're about 12 inches longer than needed, so removing the tank for whatever reason means I can jack it up on blocks without disconnecting lines. Coolness. Except for when you pinch on of em ;)
Wiggled stuff for 10 minutes, finally got the kink out. Kerrrr heerrrr herrr VRAOOOOOOOOOOM !
She's ready to go. After sweating in full sun, 90F, in leathers, I was about done with riding for the day. Then I spotted a ducati and trailed him for a while. Hit some twisties, had a blast.
How much fun ? A ticket. No proof of insurance. Ya. Not speeding. Not wreckless driving. Nothing dumb. So now I have my paperwork under the seat again, and about to go out for a spin.
Think I'll see the same deputy ? I hope so ;)
Dude that sucks.
Glad you got your stuff now.
At least you can fight the ticket and get it thrown out.
Tickets suck. Go to court. The judge might be a biker and let you off with PBJ.

lol you got :police:'d
I don't know about AL but in OK we get 72 hours to provide proof that we had insurance coverage at the time of the ticket before the state automatically suspends your DL, at which point the charge is dismissed and you pay court costs, last time I got one of those it was $10 for costs. I would be calling the courthouse ASAP and your next ride may very well be to go see the clerk to get that taken care of.
Last I checked even if you get the charge dismissed after the fact the license reinstatement here is $150.
