translation:
porsche = any number can be it's price
88k miles = so it was only on fire for 87k of them
1987 = finding parts will be a second mortgage, headache, and near to impossible.
get a miata.
and put a 5.0 ford engine in it. no really.
I remember there used to be a company called Monster Miata that sold them with 4.9L Mustang V8's. If I recall correctly the 4.9 was actually a little lighter than the original Miata 4 cylinder.
from what im reading i dont want to touch this thing with a ten foot stick
opinions are like assholes, eveyone has one. :thumb: if YOU like the car, and if YOU want it, get it.
Hmmm 924S i wouldn't go over $2000.
agreed. i had one. fun to drive, not much power, but handling was pretty good :thumb:
They're a lot more reliable than these butt fuchers are leading you to believe, but Jughead is pretty much dead on for price. I saw a 924 turbo s that was immaculate go for 3500 recently. Parts aren't bad to source and they're pretty easy to work on. Go for it if the price is right.
yeah i never had problems out of mine either. well after i overhauled teh fuel system :thumb: ran like a top :police:
the 924S Should have the same motor as the 944S which would be the 2.5L.Been a long time since I piddled with Porsche.Sent both off mine to the scrap yard.
this guy wants to trade for my gs
but i was just informed it has 400 bucks in fees at dmv so i think im gona pass

plus many parts can be swapped fomr some vw's as well, ( its how i rebuilt the FI system in mine )
The 87 924S is a 944 without fender flares, not like the older 924 variants. Solenoid injection, not CIS. And slightly faster (less drag) but no quicker. Not as cool looking. Waterpump/timing belt change is BIG money for that car relative to value.
