Title: Air leak out of 2001 - 2002 500E carb
Post by: cyrusyn on June 10, 2009, 07:49:04 PM
I have been trying to attach a hose on to a vacuum port on 2001 - 2002 GS500E carb which, in the following picture, is the vacuum port for the cap labeled number 40. Purpose of doing this to the otherwise capped vacuum port was to hooking up carb synchronizer easier.
Problem is that the flange on the port is so mall that it seems that there is no vacuum hose that could fit on the this flange without an airleak.
Does any one know a vacuum hose or fuel line hose or any other type that might fit onto this flange snug? Or any other solutions?
Your help is much appreciated.

Try fish tank air line. Or 1/8 inch fuel line, which is nice to have for checking float levels or otherwise using the carb drains much.
