Title: streetfighter headlight
Post by: SAvoltage on June 14, 2009, 05:19:22 PM
well i was letting my bro putt my bike around the neighborhood and he dropped it at a low speed. only damage was the clutch lever and the headlight.

since i plan on doing a streetfighter conversion (insert bash here) i was wanting to put one of those streetfighter windscreen/lights on it
i did a search on here and really didnt find much, has anyone done this and if so can i get some pictures.

also would something like this work??

No bashing here, and if anyone tries I've got your back. Streetfighters are the most important kind of motorcycles there are.

Anyway, yeah, that headlight will work. They're kinda cheap but if you're just looking for something that'll work go for it. I'd say you'd do better looking for a cool looking used light that came on another bike. You'd get a better light, and it'd probably look a bit better than the one you found on ebay. They're flimsy as can be.

better yet, I'd just buy this thing and paint it black.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-TT600-Front-Number-Plate-w-Headlight-TT-600_W0QQitemZ230347862381QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item35a1cd716d&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318

The first light that was posted was an acerbis light which is equivalent to taping an autozone led flashlight to the triple. You don't want it.

Yeah I've seen those and the like in real life, dim and tiny. H3 might be brighter but it still looks awful small to me.
