Ok...go easy on me....I'm a n00b in this section..... :icon_mrgreen:
I'd had the plague for weeks, so I was quite concerned about this track day. I'd had VERY little saddle time. Sure enough, when I got on the track, I was a scared little wabbit. I'd not had a track day since around September of 2008.
However, I hooked up with a great instructor, learned a LOT (I'm only *just* beginning to work on my body positioning....AFTER this track day :icon_lol:).
So here are some pics:
I have an amazing group of friends:

I'm the midget in the middle (#97) :flipoff:

Does spanking butt count as help? :icon_twisted:

100% awesomeness Pandy!! My goal this year is to do a track day... very inspiring (sp?) :thumb:
It's addictive....be prepared to empty your wallet....and bank account...again...and again....and again... :icon_rolleyes:
Great pics Pandy!
Its amazing what these things will do when we're safe of cagers.
By the By: I noticed that ride of yours is very familiar.
Not a GS but pretty sweet eh? (Once you get rid of the stock pipes)
Ride more. Post more pics.
We that ordered the supersized chicken strips must live vicariously.
Yes, my SV650s is my second love. Ok. My third. I had two GS500e's. I like my stock can; I don't need to make excess noise. :flipoff:
As for riding more, I generally put 25k+ or so miles on per year, so I think I'm doing ok in that dept. I do rather suck at taking pics, though. :icon_eek: I only have chicken strips now when my tires are new (they're new presently, and I can't wait to try 'em out at the track!). Ok, I may have 1/8th of an inch on the right side....I prefer lefties! :woohoo:
scratch is my witness that I'm no longer an uber-n00b! Heck, I rarely even pandy my bike* anymore! :icon_mrgreen:
In fact, I just took my best friend for her first ride a week ago...I didn't even think to post up those pics...will try to log on later tonight and do so. I took scratch as my first pillion...but I didn't get pics. ;)
*to pandy one's bike: to fall over, to drop, for one's bike to take a nap of some sort <---the fact that I have to 'splain it bodes well for my poor baby! :D
Thunderhill? Snap, I slept right through it.

Damn, dudette....I know you have mad track skillz, but you're *still* supposed to ride with your eyes OPEN (and no eating breakfast and reading the morning paper while riding your first lap, either! :nono:)!

Are you sneezing?
Way to not crash.
I blinked just once on the opening lap, and someone snapped a pic right then... :icon_razz:
I agree with you, Pandy, that Thunderhill is a fun track, but it's a long drive from home. There is an Infineon day right after Thanksgiving that I think I'm going to try to make. I need to Get To Know the SV a little better. It's bigger and more work to move around than the GS!

Oh c'mon...just admit it...you always do the first lap with your eyes closed to warm up, and they CAUGHT you! :flipoff: :icon_mrgreen:

I'm looking forward to trying Infineon (maybe next year). I'm fond of Thunderhill, and it hardly seems like a drive at all when you're driving with crazy people. :D
And it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels that the SV is a little more work. I kinda thought I was crazy, but then scratch rode my SV and agreed...and now you're agreeing! Yayz, I'm not crazy! Ok, I lie. I am...but not about this!! :icon_mrgreen:
P.S. Love the pics on your blog at THill...especially coming off T9....I think that's T9 is my fave!
