I watched the video of Kerry(I think) checking his valves the other day, and he had one of these tools to hold down the bucket while he pulled the shims out. Are all of these tools the same size, or do I need to find a certain one to fit on the GS? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Valve-Shim-Tool-Suzuki-GS550-GS750-GS850-GS1100-XJ600_W0QQitemZ220434910449QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3352f1ccf1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318
If it is the right tool, don't think "Ooh, I've needed one of those!" and buy it, cause I'm gonna start fixing up the GS this weekend and I need one!
...and in case he's still around this board, I really appreciated that video, it made me feel much better about pulling the bike apart, and it was by far the most polite valve adjustment ever.
Looks the same with mine and the markings are the same also. A01-29 -------- s
Kerry's video is great, indeed! :thumb:
