Title: on track tires, bridgestone bt090 and pirelli sport demons
Post by: daliumong on June 21, 2009, 02:37:47 AM
so im in the market for some new tires for the track, and motorcycle-superstore has both the sport demons and bt090's on sale, with the 090's adding up to 217 and the sport demons on for 208

go for the 090's right?

supposedly, according to the description, the 090's should work pretty well in the wet and on the street as well, if i'm too lazy to swap them out after my track days

There are 2 types of bt090 in 140/70-17.  They are TT and TL.   Make sure you get the bt090 TL tubeless for 3.5 inch rim.

The ones on motorcycle superstore are probably the tube type for the supermotos (TT).  They are designed for a 4.5 inch rim and a tube.

If you can't find the right ones you can get them from stickboy racing.  I run them year round and they're a great street tire.  Just give them a couple miles to heat up when it's in the 30s outside.
