So my parents have a 98 ford expedition and they got a recall a few months back regarding a cruise control module. they didn't read the affect that part can have on the car driving or parked. well that part can do this to a parked car.

so read those recalls and fix them they are free.
:o that sucks.
sorry to see it bro.
That REALLY sucks mach1, best of luck to your parents in dealing with that.
BUT, those pics made me laugh like he!!.
I never got a recall notice for my defibrillator when it turned out to be no good. When my reflector on Flick wasn't up to DOT standards I got a certified letter. Which one do I depend on most?
Mary
I hear ya mary, youda thiunk those who implanted teh defib would have blown up your phone gettign your atention. and mach aye the dashboard fire. ive seena few of those
You may want to check for that same recall yama. My brother got it for his crown.
That would be the last thing you need, ya know.
that sucks. they don't usually send out recall notices if it isn't serious.
I got a 97 F 150 - same as the blooming expedition ... is it also recalled ? Anyone know ?
Cool.
Buddha.
SSooooo does insurance cover that ?
Man I hope so. That really sucks.
Bright side - they weren't driving it at the time.
Good luck with getting it replaced man.
i ran my vin only one that came up was one to remove the speed limiter switch
we got the same recall on our 96 econline van, got it fixed though, sorry to see that happened to yall.
Heh speak of teh devil. i got one today. well saturday. after seeing thaty f150 my shaZam! is going in :police: , miss piggy is going to the doctor
at least if it's a recall it doesn't cost you more than the time it takes to go to the dealership and get it fixed
depending on how long it takes to do this. ill be out of a vehicle tho
if the vehicle is being repaired due to a recall, i would think that the dealership owes you a free rental/loaner car if the work is to take a long time.
I watched a Ford Explorer (Exploder?) go up in flames in Home Depot parking lot about 3 years ago.
I know 2 mechanics who refer to them as "Ford Exploders" . :icon_lol:
yeah I saw an f150 go up in flames a couple years ago during move in; heading into campus i helped him yank as much of the crap out of the back or the truck before the fire got there that we could, he was a dummy and left the door open so the cap went up in seconds. Would have sucked to explain that one to the kid waiting on the curb for their crap.

That's how Mexicans say it
Thats what i call em, but ill still drive one
that sucks, hopefully it will be covered by insurance.
gm recalled a whole bunch of 3800 powered cars, including my gtp for an engine bay fire problem, but they're only fixing part of the problem. they replace the front valve cover gasket but not the fuel line o-rings, which are another real problem.
Lol typical :cookoo: :cookoo:
