Now I do understand that road work has to be done. But, the thought right now of three years of this mess has me seriously considering moving! This morning I was going out to an appointment. Where I leave the apartment complex is a very dangerous intersection. It is a four lane road without a light at the intersection. Although there is a signal there but reserved for the fire department. I know why the department is there though cause there is usually one nasty wreck there a week without road work. So, I come out of the intersection kinda quick because people like to speed up at the intersection like you turning the opposite way is somehow going to hinder their commute :cookoo: All of a sudden I notice that the yellow line that was there yesterday has turned into about a seven inch high yellow divider! OMG where did that come from! It was the same color of the previous spot and had no markers on it! It had drizzled all night so we had the wonderful Florida Black ice which is a combo of oil and gas that has not run off the road but the light water has brought it to the surface. So, my wide left turn all of a sudden turns into a hard left and a fish tail. Felt like I was riding and dirt bike and sliding the back out. I did put the left foot down to offer a little more balance somehow the bike righted itself and I was on the way to the cardiologist of all people!
Sorry for the rant! But, aren't my tax dollars supposed to make things better? I'm not even going to get to the holes that are strategically placed at red lights that are just big enough to get your foot caught and break your ankle. I'm glad they thought about motorcyclist when they thought of that bright idea!
UGH!

Mary is this the never ending road work weve talked about in the past lol. i used to see alot of it in CHI., well that and potholes but still i seem to remember you talking about this lil fiasco of sorts
I270 in Maryland has been the same way for awhile. I been avoiding it but sometimes you can.

Ranting is healthy.

Sure, blame it on the roads... :flipoff: :icon_mrgreen:
The "Big Dig" in Boston took... oh... probably somewhere around FOREVER to finish. lol
Yes travelling to Logan during the Big Dig was not fun at all. Floridian not thinking it would be 50 degrees colder in September never struck my mind. Of course cell phone got caught on seat belt when getting out of the car at O-town. Didn't know the people at least what they look like or what they were driving all of the traffic diversions. I swore I was going to die of hypothermia with my jogging pants and long sleeve T-shirt. After two hours we found each other but was crazy!
This morning the whole intersection is dug up and now and took 20min to get out of the intersection!
