hi all,
i managed to sauce these downpipes, but i cant figure out what make they are,the reason i ask is incase these effect re-jetting as the 2 into 1 section only has a diameter of 43 mm?
they seam to differ from the magnum and jardine pipes on the Wiki (pictures at bottom i hope you can see the difference highlited)
my pipes are flush on with each other on the way down from head, both running nicely flush with the frame both sides, unlike the jardine ones. The Magnum ones seam to touch each other right beneith the oil filter housing unlike mine?
to drain the oil i do have to drop the exhaust as the socket will not fit on squarely
any thoughts?
anyone know what pipes these are and will the 43mm diameter effect re-jetting?
are the Jardine/Magnum or other aftermarket downpipes 43mm aswell?
thankyou guys :thumb:

Honestly i do not see any effect regarding the pipes vs the others. if any effect. it would be minimal
thankyou for your reply/advise yamahonkawazuki
On FI R6 bikes, there's a bunch of people (racers) that upgrade the headers to aftermarket... supposedly they get better performance (as long as they remap it with a power commander).... I'm not sure about carbed bikes tho.

thanks annguyen1981 for your reply mate.
im just hoping that the slightly smaller diameter does not effect back pressure through the exhaust, i.e the gas flow being re-stricted. :dunno_white:
you got the order right the first bike is my bike with the Jardine and the 2nd was one from tasmania and it is the magnum and you WILL need to rejet for them but its worth it and cheaper then buying a staintune muffler by itself (just the purchase price of the system not the rejet on a dyno). :thumb:

im only going to be running the downpipes into an R6 end can for now.
i note you live in Australia (lucky sod!) just wondered if you could let me know what size jets you settled on? i gather your climate maywell be a little warmer than back here in old blighty- if that makes any difference that is?
As far as changing the oil it looks like you could slide a wrench in over the top of the exhaust.
