I have been having no luck finding what is needed here as far as fuel line but I want to replace mine along with other stuff. I found these:

Humm well Jon to be honest I would go with the Black. There is a reason most fuel lines are black and it is usually do to heat and better durability. Being a life long Volkswagen Aircooled mechanic I am leery about after market fuel lines.
How ever..if the proper inside diameter and heat rating can be obtained make sure you can properly seal each end. The worst thing in the world to have on an aircooled engine is a leaking fuel line!

$25 feet! haha, buy some, and if it works I can give you a couple bucks to send me 5 feet of it! I'd really like some colored fuel lines, but I don't completely trust most of the ones I've seen on line.
Mine need replaced when I put my bike back together, since little peices of black crud came out when I drained all the hoses, which I'm assuming were little peices of rubber from the inside of the hose. I went to pepboys and asked for 5 feet of fuel line, and the guy said "fuel line, or fuel injection line?", and I said "fuel line", so the guy comes back with 5 feet of hose, they ring me up(with a few other items as well), I got outside thinking the price was a little high, look at the reciept, and I see I was charged $18 for 5 feet of FUEL INJECTION LINE, so I just returned it and bought a couple feet of fuel line from tractor supply for 30cents a foot. Good deal, although I'm sure it's not rated very high as far as heat goes, and is cheap in general, so it'll just be temporary until I get something better. I'll just make sure none of it is long enough to actually touch anything too hot.

So reinforced will not attach to the tank petcock then?! I have read for hours trying to figure this out.
TTFour it is $25 for '25 feet. So not that bad.
If you look above the ones I listed there are non-reinforced kinds as well.
I just can't seem to find what to use.
Buddha - that listing is for 1/4". Is there any benefit to that size? I thought 5/16" was better for delivery?

O.C.D., people have been going back and forth between this one for a while. The stock lines are 7mm, which is between 1/4 and 5/16. People have used both, and both seem to work for some people. I went with the 1/4 because I figured I'd rather have the lines fit tight rather than loose.
5/16th - yea it will deliver it right down on top of the motor and onto your pants and the floor ...
Maybe on the 07 or 06 ... what ever year, they changed it, but 1/2 in the 89-00 for sure.

I bought polyurethane fuel line from Cycle Recycle. $0.80/ft, you choose the length you want. I went with the 5/16", and added hose clamps at the tank fitting. You can stretch 1/4" and make it fit, or buy the 5/16" and add some teflon tape around the nipples for a snug fit.
1 - 2 - 3 things to remember though if you buy 1/4 inch ...
1. You may have to chew on the end before fitting in to get it to slide over the fuel fitting.
2. The stock hose clamps will not fit, the wall is too thin, and the ID is too small ...
3. And the biggie is - you may have to get it off by prying it inside to out. You yank the line and the ID gets even smaller, and it grips it tighter. That will usually result in the metal brass pipe comming clear off the crappy pot metal petcock.
However you can forget about it ever comming off or leaking - period. Hose clamps ... we dont need no steenkin hose clamps.

I also recommend Tygon tubing. It's designed for fuel and is thin-walled. Easy to install and it stays in place.
I made the mistake of buying reinforced fuel lines once. There was no way I was going to get that to fit on the bike.

Most likely, yes.
I bought some yellow fuel line from home depot in the section with weed wackers and such. Came in 3 foot sections and was only a few bucks a pop. Has worked just fine for me.
go to any bike shop and ask for 5/16" fuel line. it's usually about a dollar a foot.
