Title: Ducati Monster Seat for sale!!!!
Post by: O.C.D. on July 08, 2009, 08:31:15 AM
Guys,

My transformation to a half-Duc bike is started.  I acquired a Monster frame, seat, cowl, etc already.  But, the frame is newer and I bought a '95 or '96 seat and it will not fit.  So I need to sell it and get another.  If you are interested in a Duc seat conversion this is what you want.  I need an exact year match because of the seat latch so I NEED to sell this one.

It is in great shape for the age, no rips, tears, scuffs etc.  I bought it off the bay a week or two ago.

These are the ebay pics.  I can take more.

Due to condition I am looking for at least $70 and then you pay shipping.  Paypal only please. I will do ground and I am thinking $20ish.

Please pm me or comment if interested.  I am not entirely firm but I need this to go to buy the other one.

Thanks all.
Jon

Actually, I might get this.  Might being the key word.

How's it fit to a '93 tank?    My tank doesn't have grooves, like the ones I've circled in the picture:

I do believe in that build he used a newer gas tank from a 2001 model and up.  I have a '92 and from personal test fits it works great.  I did not get to mount it though so I cannot say with all certainty.   This seat is what I sought out after reading the thread where you found that pic.

Damn, I might need a new tank now, lol.  Who knows.  I got a complete rear half frame from a 2003 Ducati to do my conversion.  It may not work like his where he could place it so close.

If not, the welder will be changing my tank.  I don't want a newer tank due to the clip-ons I have.  What can you do? lol

Don't forget this build.  That is not a newer gas tank:

I see.

Wish it was cheaper, since I'd have to rip the vinyl off it and screw with the foam.

Well, talk to me.  Like I said, I need another one and have to fund part of it.
