Earlier this year I dropped my bike and it slid the little sticker off the crank case a CM. This past weekend someone pulled it off!!
I was just about to sell the bike, but now I guess I should replace that sticker thing. Does anyone know where to get it? Is it a vital part?
Thanks
Bikebandit.com, Ronayers.com, and there are several other online dealers or even a Suzukin Dealership. Left & right side are the same.
Thanks!
I know you can see straight through that cover without the sticker on, and I've seen people with bikes who didn't have the sticker on. I'd have something there for the sake of keeping crud out of there, but I don't think you need the sticker for the bike to work right. If you'd gonna sell it I'd see if I could find another one, otherwise just cut a peice of plastic in a circle and glue it on. Mine was scuffed up when i got the bike from it falling over, I only recently got around to sanding the whole cover down and painting it, so at the moment mine is just spray painted black anyway.
I realize I just told you to glue a peice of plastic to the side of your engine. Try a thin piece of metal. If you weren't selling it, I think cutting up a pop can would look cool, but it's not the classiest idea if you're trying to sell the bike.

I used aluminum tape for the longest time....
I had this problem when I bought mine, I laid up a scrap of carbon fibre in epoxy resin, using a saucer as the mould. Then epoxy glued it on to the cover and painted the cover black, with the carbon visible in the middle. Kept me amused for a day and looks OK.
