Title: FS: K&N drop in replacement
Post by: Dr.Sparkie on July 15, 2009, 12:08:58 PM
New in box, pre-oiled, never used, purchased 1 hour ago.
fits the stock airbox, and as such is dirt simple to install.

My bike shop kinda screwed me on this one, and I cant return it because it's special order.

85$ CDN, Or trade for a lunchbox or other sexy parts for my bike. try me out. I'd love some kida front fairing/windshield for my bike, or for a bike similar enough to be hacked onto my bike.
delivered/pickup in the toronto area, which is preferred because I've never shipped anything before.

Edit: title, trades

Try taking it to an automotive store that sells k&n air filters and try to return it there without a receipt for store credit.  Might be worth a shot if nobody on here wants to buy it.

thats not such a bad idea. I also have a riding buddy with a GS (i think at least... its been a few months) that might take it. There's also a gs that parks next to me at school, maybe he'll get a post-it note on his tank advertising this filter.

I replaced my battery with a lawn tractor battery (more amps) because the regular battery couldnt support cranking in cold weather with the 555cc mod, which required a new battery tray, which pretty much mashes the battery up against the stock air box. the stock airbox fits, but there's all sorts of dirty analogies that describe that fitment.

also as a guy who cant leave well enough alone, im always inside the carbs, and the stock airbox is a PITA to work around anyways, so I've taken the liberty of deleting it.

the drop in replacement filter still fits the airbox, but it does me no good in the back of my garage where the airbox currently resides.
