Title: cbr rearset master cylinder issues
Post by: drincruz on July 18, 2009, 08:50:36 AM
according to pantablo's page (http://pantablo500.tripod.com/id46.html) the gs master cylinder stays and then gets mounted on the cbr rearsets. anyhow, i'm having issues with mounting that. it just doesn't seem to fit right. maybe i'm not seeing something, but it's not mounting properly. anyone who changed out your rearsets wanna chime in?

thanks.

oh and these are '95-'98 cbr rearsets that i'm working with.

cheers,

I have the same ones. Werase643 had to cut the bolt down so that it would fit on the rearset and work properly.

yea, i think i'll just use the cbr reservoir and cylinder.

thanks for the link chanse. you mentioned you needed to fabricate a mount to lower the reservoir? you wouldn't happen to have a picture of that would you? if not, i'll just take a look tomorrow and see how i can go mount it.

thanks again!

cheers,

No pics of it, but all I did was use a piece of aluminum angle iron (oxy-moron) hung from one of the bolt holes from my stock air box. That was removed when I put the K&N. If I get around to it Ill take some pics when I get home, its still in the crude phase beings how Im still waiting on parts to do the entire build..... Still in fabrication mode.
