Title: $30 Yoshimura mesh jackets!
Post by: Caffeine on July 25, 2009, 08:01:42 AM
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/39/14487/CITEM/Yoshimura-AF-Mesh-Jacket-Closeouts.aspx?WT.MC_ID=54006&SiteId=10557879-1225267-u0t1470041f0fp0c0s1219

Also cheap closeouts on other types of Yoshi jackets.  Cheap shipping rates, too!   Free on orders over $75.

No, I've never ordered from them, but maybe someone else has.   Definitely a bargain price on good gear.    You guys know how we like our gear, don't we?   :woohoo:

Yep, that is a good price. Too bad you would have to be 4 foot 6 inches and weigh 70 pounds to wear them...

I was afraid the size availability would suck.  We got a few munchkins around here, so maybe someone will make out with a deal.   :dunno_black:

No CE armor in them, it looks like. Don't bother.

No idea. It says there is removable armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back though. So maybe it does come with armor, but I don't know if they are referring to non-CE armor or just the padding. Either way, it looks like since it is removable you can put in some nice CE armor.

If I didn't already have a Vanson mesh, I'd have got one too.

Haha oh man, I can't believe I'm just seeing this now.  That's brutal, Mary.  Nothing wrong with being a size large.  Haha I just can't imagine anyone size XXXL on a GS, no offense Jughead.

Wouldn't that be like riding two up all the time? I mean all of that weight on a GS? Definately need a 15T for that I would think?  :thumb:

I wanted black as well, but had to settle for the silver/black. I figure I can paint/dye it if the color bugs me too much. I'm not sure if they still have any left, but I'm 5'8, 145lbs and the small fits me fine. I got my wife, 5'4ish an XS and it fit her. I tried hers on and probably could've fit that size as well if I wanted, and she could've possibly fit one size smaller, so they definitely run small, but I think the motorcycle crowd also tends to run large. I've had issues in the past of finding stuff that actually fits. Ooh, I ordered the jackets on a sunday, and they showed up at my house on Tuesday as well, not bad for $6 shipping.

I still shed a tear when I remember that my old Triumph vented raptor jacket sold on ebay for only $35. That was the nicest mesh jacket I've ever seen, and unlike other companies gear, it only had a subtle embroidered "T" on the back, it didn't have the companies logo plastered all over it in bright colors, so I could've kept that jacket for life no matter what bike I had.

Oh, and yes, all the pads are removable. They're not great, but they're not awful either, I don't know if they're CE. I just tried it on and hung it up in the closet, but I can always just stick my winter jacket pads in it when summer comes.
