Title: compatible gas tanks?
Post by: James103hpR6 on October 05, 2003, 08:49:50 PM
I have an 89 that I got hit by a car on and it has a big dent in the tank.  I have a chance to get a new one but its from a 94 or 95.  Will the new tank fit my bike?

My Haynes manual says (if I remember correctly, I don't have it nearby at the moment) that Suzuki changed the tank from 17 liters to 20 liters in 2001, so the tank you are considering should fit perfectly.

I've been contemplating putting a newer tank on my 95 gs.  But I haven't had the chance to see if it'll fit or not.
